Project Title: Enhancing the Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of Forests in Tanzania through the Application of Advanced Remote Sensing Techniques
Project details:
Mitigation Climate Change Adaptation.

The Sokoine University of Agriculture in collaboration with IRA and Norwegian partner institutions are conducting research on “Enhancing the Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of Forests in Tanzania through the Application of Advanced Remote Sensing Techniques.”

Since its inception in 2011, various LiDAR, Interferometry SAR and optical remote sensing techniques have been developed for use in combination with ground observations for an MRV system.
