INTRODUCTION

The Centre For Educational Research and Professional Development (CERPD) is a University of Dar es Salaam organ, acting as a research, consultancy and further training unit within the School of Education.

It was established by the University of Dar es Salaam during the 88^th meeting of University Council on the 19^th day of November, 1990.

In brief, it is a centre where one gets

• Opportunities for academic seminars, workshops, open lecturers and conferences
• Opportunities for collaboration with other academic institutions and research firms, both at local and international levels.

LOCATION AND STRUCTURE

The office of the Centre is located at UDSM Mlimani campus, in New education building, first floor office number 206; along Changanyikeni road. 

CERPD has a Director, a Research fellow, an Administrative staff, whereby all Academic Staff of the School of Education are members of the Centre depending on their areas of research interests, specialisation and competence.
