The University of Dar es Salaam through the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS) has established a programme to support teaching of Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry in selected secondary schools in Dar es Salaam. This programme was established after realizing that there are some schools with critical shortage of teachers of these subjects. The programme started on 15th April 2021 with sixteen (16) volunteer teachers in four secondary schools neighbouring University of Dar es Salaam. The schools are Mugabe, Salma Kikwete, Manzese and Yusuf Makamba secondary schools where each school received four teachers.
The official launching of the programme will be on 24th May 2021 during University Research and Innovation. The Deputy Vice Chancellor-Research Prof. Bernadeta Kilian will be the Guest of Honour. You are all invited.
