Mr. Chuhila is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation, College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Tanzania. He completed his BSc with Education degree specializing in Chemistry, Biology and Education at the University of Dar es salaam in 2010. Thereafter, he was employed as a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation in 2011 where he worked for two years before enrolling for MSc study. He completed his MSc in Genetics at the University of Nairobi, Kenya in September, 2015.
Mr. Chuhila has been engaged in teaching undergraduate courses and conducting Research and consultancy in the fields of Genetics, Evolutionary Biology, Conservation Biology and Zoonosis. He has supervised a number of undergraduate research projects, co-authored numerous publications and engaged in one funded research project. He is currently doing a PhD (Zoology) at the University of Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
