To contribute to the College Seminar initiative, the Information Studies Unit hosted Duo Presentations on 21st March, 2023 at Dr. Wilbert Chagula library.
Prof. Domenico Fiormonte from the University of Roma Tre, Italy and Dr. Emmanuel Elia, a senior lecturer, Information Studies Unit presented about Knowledge Monopolies and Academic Publishing and Assessment of Scholarly Publications at University of Dar es Salaam respectively.
The presentations intended to raise awareness among researchers on various matters pertaining to geopolitics of knowledge production and dissemination and the vetting practices at UDSM. During the discussions, the Principal, Prof. Christine Noe iterated how importance these discussions are for the academic community.
