MASTER OF EDUCATION IN CURRICULUM STUDIES (M.ED. (CS)) DEGREE PROGRAMME

Objective of the Programme: This programme aims at equipping candidates with theoretical, professional, pedagogical, technological, and practical competences in curricula studies for effective provision of inclusive and sustainable quality education. The programme also intends to produce competent and innovative candidates in designing and developing sustainable curricula that integrate global learning needs into the national curriculum, researching and implementing curriculum-based programmes.

Mode of Delivery: Face to face and Online modes.

Duration: Eighteen (18) months including Two (2) semesters for coursework and one (1) semester for dissertation.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • First degree in education (e.g. B.A (Ed.), or B. Ed (Arts), B. Sc (Ed.) or B. Ed (Sc.) degrees) from any recognized university with at least a lower second class of GPA of not less than 2.7 or its equivalent OR
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from any institution recognized by the University with at least a lower second class of GPA of not less than 2.7 or its equivalent.
