On 17^th November 2022, The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam, Prof. William A.L. Anangisye, conducted a meeting with first year students.

Prior to Vice Chancellor’s meeting, Prof. Stephen Oswald Maluka had held a meeting with first year students on 11^th November 2022. In that meeting, the Principal welcomed the first year students and introduced the College Management. Speaking during the gathering, Prof. Maluka appreciated the role played by energetic and hardworking staff. In the meeting, first year students were advised to carefully observe financial and time management, gender issues, personal hygiene and acceptable attire.

The meeting held by the Vice- Chancellor was part of the orientation week which began at the end of October.  In his speech, Prof. Anangisye explained about University of Dar es Salaam, its objectives, vision and mission. He exposed the students to university academic culture, norms and practices. He also urged students to keep close contact with lecturers for their advice and guidance.   

On the other hand, Prof. Anangisye emphasized the essence of patriotism, ethics, respect to each other, diligence, taking care of university properties, developing confidence, avoiding all forms of sexual favours and deceptive friends.
