On 5^th August 2022, Tanzania Higher Learning Institutions Trade Union (THTU) - DUCE branch introduced its new leaders to the College Management. These new leaders were elected on 28th June 2022.

The newly appointed Chairman, Dr. Innocent Buberwa pledged to cooperate with College Management in solving workers’ problems and supporting any initiative that promote better working environment.

Speaking during a brief meeting, the College Principal, Prof. Stephen Maluka congratulated the team and urged them to cooperate and avoid unnecessary complaints but be part of development initiatives.

The Deputy Principal (ARC), Dr. Christina Raphael urged the parties to recognize that their common objective is to ensure effective running and growth of the organization from which the parties shall benefit.

On his part, the Deputy Principal (PFA), Dr. Method Samwel said, whilst the interest may differ, they will try their best to resolve whichever dispute that may happen through discussion and negotiations.

THTU is an organization registered on the 12^th December 2008 (Reg. No. 23) under the Tanzania Trade Union Registration Act. It was established primarily to provide a national forum for Higher Learning Institutions' workers to deliberate on matters that affect workers and Institutional welfare, productivity and broader community interests that impinge on their ability to participate effectively in national development.
