The University of Dar es Salaam Academic Staff Assembly (UDASA-DUCE) has recently conducted a get-together party at Blessing Hall - Tabata Segerea. The event that was officiated by the College Principal, Prof. Stephen Oswald Maluka, aimed at promoting social relations among academicians.

Speaking during the event, the College Principal said the party aimed at building employees’ relationships, sharing experiences, improving communication and promoting collaborative sprit. He further said in return, such collaborative efforts likely to lead to higher productivity and help the organization to realize its anticipated goals.

Similarly, the UDASA Chairperson, Dr. Budeba Mlyakado said the party would help academicians to reduce stress as they participated in conversations, music, and different games.  

During the event, UDASA members sat in mixed groups to share idea, meals and refreshments. At the end of the event, some academicians were given prizes as a recognition of their academic achievements.

Besides promoting social relations, UDASA has a duty of stimulating discussions on matters of academic interest, promoting basic principles related to academic freedom, and any matters related to the general welfare.
