On 21st August 2020, The President of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli appointed our Alumnus who is also the Chief Secretary to the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. John W.H. Kijazi to be the new Chancellor of the University of Dodoma (UDOM).

The post was formerly taken by the late Tanzanian 3rd term President Hon. Benjamin W. Mkapa

Ambassador Eng. Kijazi holds a Bachelor of Science, with Honours, in Civil Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam (1982) and a Masters of Science in Highway Engineering from Birmingham University, United Kingdom (1992).
