Perpetua is a Lecturer of Educational Foundations, Management and Lifelong Learning in the Faculty of Education. She has published in the areas of educational leadership focusing on leaders’ practices, characteristics and middle level leader’s role in managing tasks assigned to the heads of schools and on gender and leadership on carrier growth. She has carried different managerial roles at the university at various levels such as Head, Curriculum and Teaching Department, DUCE January, 2006- July 2007; Associate Dean Academic Faculty of Education 2006- September 2008; Acting Dean Faculty of Education January to March 2008; Gender Unit Coordinator 2006-September 2008; Gender Focal Person 2012-2014 and Coordinator, Undergraduate Studies from 2012 to 2018.  She is working with Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) in various assignments such as reviewing curriculum programme from different universities, and doing different audit and verification assignments.  In strengthening collaboration with other partners, she is working with Michigan States University (MSU) and (UDSM, SUA, DUCE and AKF) in partnership bases as educational team member and In-country Research Coordinator. She has performed different duties as consultant such as training head teachers, heads of secondary schools, school board and committees on their duties and how to improve school performance.  She also conducted Teachers Professional Development to primary school teachers. Currently, she is engaged in Girls mentoring programme as trainer and researcher in Milola, Lindi.
