Appointment of the Chinese Director of the University of Dar es Salaam Confucius Institute
The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) wishes to inform the University community and the general public that, following the retirement of Professor Zhang Xiaozhen, the position of Chinese Director of the University of Dar es Salaam Confucius Institute became vacant. To ensure continuity, stability, and the sustained delivery of the Institute’s mandate, the President of Zhejiang Normal University, Professor Qiu Limin, has appointed Professor Zhang Yanjun as the new Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dar es Salaam.
Zhang Yanjun is an Associate Professor of Education at the School of Teacher Education, Zhejiang Normal University, and a respected scholar in comparative and international education. He holds a PhD in Education from Zhejiang University, a Master’s degree in Education from Sichuan Normal University, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Anshan Teachers College, reflecting a strong academic foundation in education policy and international education systems.
