Biography

Lecturer, researcher, and consultant in social thought and behaviour, child and adolescent development and learning, domestic workers' lived experiences, mental health and psychosocial well-being, the application of statistics in psychology, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services. Shagembe is also a certified national master trainer in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services in Tanzania, serves in different leadership positions such as being the current president of the Tanzanian Psychological Association (TAPA), Deputy Secretary General of the National Technical Working Group on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services in Tanzania, and the Managing Editor of the Journal of Population Studies and Development Studies.

Social thought and behaviour, child and adolescent development and learning; domestic workers' lived experiences, mental health and psychosocial well-being; application of statistics in Psychology; mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services.
