Biography

Alfa Simwanza is a Lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences (PESS), Tanzania.
Dr. Alfa worked at Aga Khan Education Services Tanzania in 2013 as a Physical Education and Sports teacher as well as a Coordinator - After School Activities Programmes (ASAP); He also worked at Tukuyu Teachers College from 2014 to 2019 as a College Tutor; and UDSM as an academician since 2019.
He holds a PhD (2024) from the Department of Physical Education at Jadavpur University, West Bengal, India. He obtained a Master of Arts in Education (2018) and a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education and Sport Sciences (2013) from the University of Dar es Salaam.
 

Research Interest

Sport management and administration, coaching and training, ball games as well as aerobics.
