Abihudi Semotine Sembosi is an assistant lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC). His areas of specialization are corporate communication, marketing communication, strategic public relations, media relations, corporate social responsibility and advertising.
In 2017, Sembosi earned his Master of Arts in Mass Communication after successful defended his dissertation entitled, “Analyzing the Outcomes of Commuters’ Exposure to Digital Billboards Located in Dar es Salaam City, Tanzania” and in 2014 earned his Bachelor of Arts in public relations and advertising, both were earned from the University of Dar es Salaam.
Sembosi has experience of teaching public relations/communication courses, supervising undergraduate projects, practical training, attending conferences including, The 14Th East African Communication Association Conference of 2024.
Further, Sembosi has also practical experience obtained before and after joining academic staff as he worked with The Guardian and Nipashe newspapers as sales executive officer, Dar es Salaam City Council (DCC) as an assistant public relations and protocol, City FM Radio as Marketing officer, Morning Star FM Radio as marketing and communications officer and Guava Communication Company as Operations manager.
He has also been appointed several times as a Quality Assurance Officer at the University of Dar es Salaam.
Sembosi is currently looking forward to join PhD studies.
