Projects

The project was done in August 2020.

Female Sexuality and Reproductive Health Information Among Young Female Scholars at UDSM

The project was designed to target young female scholars at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). It aimed to assess their knowledge and needs regarding female sexuality and reproductive health through an electronic survey.

The assessment strategy utilized a Google Form that incorporated a brief, engaging video to raise awareness about the topic under study. The survey was distributed to the target group via social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, with the aim of creating a social networking platform that connected the target group, serving as a pilot initiative to propose sustainable solutions addressing the identified needs.

After the survey we came up with workshop called UDSM Pink campaign aims at familiarizing, empowering and supporting female youth in psychosocial and reproductive health in general so that they can be able to make their own informed decision. It was also aims at providing a forum for planning on how to better to provide user friendly services to the young female.

Currently project is basing on Non-communicable disease (NCDs).

  • The intervention includes community mobilization, screening, and teleconsultation services.
  • Emphasis on cost-effective technologies and community-based care.
  • Aims to support early diagnosis, consistent follow-up, Treatment adherence, counselling, and early referral for treatment of diagnosed NCDs.
