Biography

Jackson J. Justo (Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. degree from Dongguk University, Seoul, South Korea (2015); Bsc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam (2008). He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa (2016 ~ 2018). He is currently with the Department of Electrical Engineering at College of Engineering and Technology, University of Dar es Salaam as a Senior Lecturer/Researcher. Since July 2024, on his Sabbatical Leave with the Faculty of Control Systems and Robotics, ITMO University in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. His current research interests include electrical machine drives, electric vehicle (EVs) charging systems, grid integration of renewable energy resources, applications of intelligent control in energy systems, high power converter topologies, nonlinear and adaptive systems for various applications.

Since September 2021, he has been the Editor-in-Chief, Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET), and an a Associate Editor of IET-Renewable Power Generation (UK) since 2019.

Research Interest

His current research interests include electrical machine drives, electric vehicle (EVs) charging systems, off-grid and grid integration of renewable energy resources, applications of intelligent control systems in energy systems, high power converter topologies, nonlinear and adaptive systems for various applications.
