Bahati Moshally is a mining engineer with a master’s degree in Mining Engineering from Clausthal University of Technology, Germany, and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam. As a registered engineer with the Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania, Bahati is committed to advancing sustainable and efficient mining operations through innovative and practical solutions. He has strong expertise in geological modeling, resource estimation, mine planning and design, stability analysis, and ventilation system planning. His experience includes projects on brine extraction system design, coal resource estimation, open-pit stability analysis for diamond and gold mines, and stability analysis of a mine tailings storage facility. Alongside technical contributions, he plays a key role in teaching courses such as Mineral Economics, Mine Ventilation, Simulation of Mining Systems, and Fundamentals of Mine Design, mentoring students to develop confidence, independence, and critical thinking skills.
