Maximillian Makungu is a Senior ICT Officer at the Centre for Virtual Learning, College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Since 2008, he has served at UDSM with expertise in electronics and networking infrastructure, graphic and multimedia design for educational content, as well as the administration and management of Learning Management Systems (LMS).

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Electronics and Information Technology from the University of Dar es Salaam, awarded in 2006. In addition to his academic qualifications, Maximillian has undergone specialized multimedia training at several international institutions, including the University of Colombo (Sri Lanka, 2008), Multimedia University (Malaysia, 2009), the Centre for Excellence in Telecommunications Technology and Management (India, 2010), and the Pan-African E-Network Project in New Delhi (India, 2011).

He is a registered Graduate Telecommunications Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania. In 2010, during UDSM’s 50th anniversary celebrations, his slogan “Advancing Knowledge, Creating Futures” was selected as the official commemorative slogan—a recognition that continues to mark the university’s legacy to this day.
