David Novacatus Dalama
Laboratory Engineer – Department of Petroleum Science and Engineering, University of Dar es Salaam

David Novacatus Dalama is a Petroleum Engineer and Laboratory Engineer in the Department of Petroleum Science and Engineering at the University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and has professional experience in petroleum laboratory operations, analysis of fuels and lubricants, and quality control procedures.

Mr. Dalama has undertaken specialized training in petroleum analysis at the Indian Institute of Petroleum (Dehradun, India) and Laboratory Quality Control at the Tanzania Bureau of Standards. He also completed an internship at the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), gaining hands-on experience in petroleum exploration and production operations.

His professional interests include biodiesel production technology, biorefinery processes, solar energy applications, community environmental pollution control, and the analysis of lubricants and petroleum fuels. In addition to his university duties, he serves as a consultant in formulating sales strategies and teams for lubricants and petrochemical products.

Mr. Dalama is committed to advancing research and innovation in the petroleum and energy sectors, with a focus on sustainable and community-centered energy solutions.
