Dr. Mahadia Tunga is a lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam with over 15 years of experience in data science, AI, and software development. She leads national and international projects funded by UNDP, MCC, IFAD, and the Gates Foundation. A champion for gender equity in technology, she founded the Tanzania Data Lab (dLab) and the Mahadia Tunga WiDS Scholarship, and contributes to research, policy, and capacity-building to drive inclusive digital innovation across Africa.
