Mr. Simon Machera is an accomplished IT professional and academician currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Information Technology, both from the University of Dar es Salaam. Mr. Simon brings extensive consultancy experience, having led and contributed to numerous high-impact digital projects for institutions such as the UNDP, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), and Tanzania Data Lab (dLab). His work includes the development of national dashboards, climate change and health information systems, EMR platforms, statistical portals, and geospatial data tools. He has served in key roles such as technical lead, backend developer, and integration expert, showcasing his ability to deliver technically robust and scalable solutions.
