Richard Michael Mkechera is a Ph.D. Scholar at Delhi Technological University (DTU), India, and an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). His research focuses on Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms, with applications in data-driven systems and intelligent technologies.

In addition to his teaching and research roles, Mr. Mkechera serves as a System Analyst on the UDSM DHIS2 Project Team, a position he has held since August 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from St. Joseph University in Tanzania (SJUIT) in July 2015 and subsequently obtained a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China, in May 2023. He is currently engaged in publishing and collaborative research in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning applications addressing societal challenges
