Biography

Alfred Mwambela received his B.Sc. degree in Applied Physics in 1988 from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania; his M.Sc. degree in Electronics in 1993 from Durham University, UK; and a Ph.D. degree in industrial process tomography in 1999 from a sandwich program between the University of Bergen, Norway, and the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. Currently, he is a senior lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. His research interests are in non-invasive digital imaging system development, industrial processes and medical imaging tomography, wireless sensor technologies, industrial instrumentation and control systems, remote laboratories, and e-learning.
