Biography

Mr. Marco Masembo is a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).

He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in 2017. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Systems and Network Security at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in Tanzania.

In his role as a Tutorial Assistant, Mr. Masembo is actively engaged in teaching, conducting tutorials, research, consultancy, and outreach activities, contributing to both academic excellence and community service.

Projects

Mr. Masembo is also involved in UDSM-DHIS2 projects, research and consultancy as a System Developer. Specifically, he has contributed to the following projects at UDSM-DHIS2:

  1. iCareConnect – An Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  2. HIMS – A Health Information Management System implemented for the Ministry of Health.
