Zedekia L. Musabalala is a Laboratory Engineer (ICT) at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. • Education: He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) and a Master in Engineering Management (MEM) from the University of Dar es Salaam, specializing in Engineering Information and Communication Technologies Management (ICTM). He has also taken specialized courses in e-learning (Centre for Advanced Computing, Noida – India), Intellectual Property and Genetic Resource (Sweden and Switzerland), and professional courses like Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Linux System Administration, Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Cyber Security respectively. • Professional Role: At UDSM, he supervises practical courses in the areas like electronics, computer networking, cyber security and operating systems. He is also involved in ICT infrastructure design and development. • Engineering Registration: He has been a Registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) in Tanzania since 2012. • Experience: For more than 20 years, He has been involved with several organizations in various technical and consultancy engineering projects related to ICT, Computer Networks, Electronics, Telecommunications, Integrated Security Systems, Tele- Education, Tele-Conferencing, Traffic Lights etc. This includes the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Tanzania – TEMESA, Tanzania Telecommunication Company Limited (TTCL), Department for International Development (DFID), Mlalakuwa JKT, Jiangsu Jiangdu Construction Group Co. Ltd (UDSM New Library Project), Pan African e-Network Project (Tele Education Project), University of Dar es Salaam Computing Centre etc. • Research: He has served as an assistant researcher on the Building Stronger Universities (BSU) Project, a collaboration with several international and local universities. Furthermore, he is currently involved in several academic research as a technical expert.
