Godfrey Njulumi Justo
Biography
Godfrey Justo holds a PhD in Computer Science from King’s College London. He currently works as a lecturer at the university of Dar es salaam, department of computer science and Engineering of the college of information and communication technologies. He has taught an extensive number of computer science courses in core computing and application fields along with supervision of numerous UG projects, MSc and PhD research students in different ICT fields. Dr Justo has published a number of research articles in local and international conferences/journals on different areas including software engineering, data science and machine learning. His current research interest is in Software Engineering and Machine learning.
He has served on a number of academic posts and various consultancy projects, including head of Computer Science department from 2009-2012; UDSM coordinator for DASIK project from 2013–2015; World bank Consultant in Open Data in 2015; Engagement Advisor and Project Manager for Tanzania Data Lab project from 2016–2018; UDSM coordinator for CENIT–EA/dSkills–EA Project from 2020–2024; a researcher for Software safety project from 2022–2024 and a researcher for DATA & KILIMO project from 2024–2026.
