I am an assistant lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), University of Dar es Salaam. I joined UDSM in 2010 as a tutorial assistant and was appointed assistant lecturer in 2013. I hold an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden (2013), and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Dar es Salaam (2009).
My teaching, research, and consultancy work focus on software engineering and information systems, with particular interest in requirements engineering, agile development processes (Scrum), and the analysis and design of information systems. I am especially keen on the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and interoperability of information systems in the context of developing countries.
My current research focuses on the management of digital transformation in healthcare, with a particular emphasis on Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system implementation in Tanzania. As part of my PhD in Information System Management, I am developing a socio-technical framework for managing the digitalization of healthcare services, exploring how organizational, technical, and social factors interact to influence the success of EMR initiatives. More broadly, my research interests lie in digital health, information system design and interoperability, socio-technical systems, and ICT4D (ICT for Development), with a special focus on strategies that enhance the sustainability and scalability of information systems in resource-constrained settings.
