I am an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Geosciences (SoMG) University of Dar es Salaam. In this role, my core duties are Lecturing and tutoring, supervision of projects and exercises, conducting research, field works with students, consultation and community services. As an academician I intend to utilize my acquired knowledge and skills to impart knowledge to fellow Tanzania, students and young scientists through lecturing and research works that I will conduct and consultancy services. My goal is to empower students to develop critical thinking skills and achieve their academic aspirations.
I have research interests in geology including engineering geology, exploration and applied geophysics, and petroleum geoscience. I wrote my master's dissertation on reservoir modelling and resource estimation for a particular offshore gas field in Tanzania. This research work has broadened my intellect and research interests in geoscience. I have also keen interest in participating in workshops, conferences and discussions with topics particularly on innovative exploration methods for critical and/or potential mineral deposits, groundwater, geothermal resources, oil and gas.
