Joseph Augustino Abel; is a Laboratory Technician at the Institute of Marine Sciences (IMS), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). He did his Bachelor degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Dar es Salaam, a Diploma in Fisheries Science and Technology from Fisheries Education and Training Agency (FETA) and graduated 2023, 2019 respectively.

Before joining UDSM, He served as Quality Control Supervisor at Nature's Fish Limited, where he specialized in ensuring product quality and safety, monitoring production processes, maintaining hygiene and sanitation, and documentation.

Joseph's academic interests lies in marine conservation, aquaculture and Laboratory works.
