As a Laboratory Scientist at the Institute of Marine Sciences, I am engaged in laboratory-based research and analytical work with a focus on marine molecular and microbiology applications. I am a 2021 graduate of Sokoine University of Agriculture, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Laboratory Sciences. I received hands-on training in pathogen genomics and meta-genomics through a SACIDS program conducted at Sokoine University of Agriculture under the supervision of Prof. Misinzo. In addition, I completed HEET-funded industrial training at the National Fish Quality Control Laboratory, Microbiology Section, in Mwanza. My professional interests include marine molecular biology, pathogen detection, and the application of advanced molecular techniques in marine and aquatic research.
My professional interests include marine molecular biology, pathogen detection, and the application of advanced molecular techniques to marine and aquatic research, with an emphasis on biodiversity assessment, environmental monitoring, and conservation-related studies.
