Zakaria Gerald Mwakila holds a PhD in Management, and he is currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of General Management at the University of Dar es Salaam Business School. He is teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM), Organizational Behavior, Leadership and Supervisory Skills, and Organizational Development. He considers himself a permanent student of HRM, as he is committed to continuously learning the field, which is constantly evolving due to shifts in technology, workforce demographics, and business strategies. As an early career researcher, he has widely researched and published on themes related to green management and HRM in the context of developing countries. He has been involved in a number of national and international projects related to sustainability and HRM. Currently, he researches and writes to examine how Green HRM practices can influence sustainability performance.
