Mr. Protas works at the University of Dar es Salam as an academic staff. Prior to that he has worked with University of Dodoma at the same capacity for nine years after transferring from the University of Dar es Salaam and then he worked with Kariakoo Market Corporation as Personnel and Administrative Manager for a year before he returned back to UDSM. At the University Mr. Protas teaches human resource management, strategic management, leadership and supervisory skills and other courses related to human resource management. He has done several consultancies on scheme of service, salary administration and business plan, and several trainings on leadership and management and entrepreneurship. His research areas are Human Resource Development, Human resource Performance Management and Industrial Relations
