Biography

Shani Adam Sudi is a gender expert and Human Resources Officer at the University of Dar es Salaam, with experience in public administration, policy analysis, research, and gender issues. She has worked across academic, local government, and non-governmental organization settings, supporting administrative functions (planning, budgeting, trainings, and meetings/conferences), gender initiatives and research projects.

Shani holds a Master’s degree in Gender Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Dar es Salaam. She has completed additional trainings, including Advocacy and Campaign Training on Gender Issues facilitated by OXFAM Tanzania (2012) and a Training Workshop on Economic Justice and Legal Literacy for Gender Equality organized by the AAWORD Tanzania Chapter (2012). She also attended two short courses in 2010 at the University of Dar es Salaam: Project Monitoring and Evaluation, and Project Planning and Human Resources Management. In addition, she has technical skills in computer applications, including PC Basics, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Internet Basics, and SPSS, attained through the Mathematics Department at the University of Dar es Salaam.

Research Interest

Her research interests focus on gender issues in the workplace and in political positions. She is passionate about promoting gender equality awareness and advancing related initiatives to improve public services for communities.
