Recent projects:

  • Initiated Project funded by Deaf Child Worldwide (DCW) to the Tanzania Association of the Deaf (CHAVITA) for developing sign language in the country, which brought sustainable researches and training in sign language at the University of Dar es Salaam
  • Participated in a joint project which brought to standardization of sign language in Tanzania school and eventually brought a standardized online sign language dictionary

  • A retired Member of the National Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities under section 3(8-13) of the persons with Disabilities Act, 2010
  • A retired Chairperson of the Tanzania Association of the Deaf (CHAVITA) which has performed greatly on development of the Tanzania Sign Language to Deaf people and sign language interpretations
  • A retired Board Member of the Tanzania Federation of Disabled People’s Organizations (SHIVYAWATA)

 

Important Contribution:

Lobbying and advocating the Rights of People (children and adults) with disabilities in Tanzania which brought to participation and contributing to the following documents:
