Ms. Shadya Ngirini is a professional marine scientist and Tutorial Assistant at the Institute of Marine Sciences, University of Dar es Salaam. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences and is currently pursuing her Master’s in the same field at the University of Dar es Salaam. Her expertise lies in marine social sciences, with a strong focus on the sustainable management of coastal and marine resources, as well as the livelihoods of coastal communities. Shadya is passionate about integrating scientific research with community-based approaches to promote ocean sustainability and resilience.
