The University of Dar es Salaam Research Chair on Forced Displacement (UDSMRCFD), under the Project “Strengthening knowledge, evidence use and leadership in the global south on forced displacement: with a focus on East Africa” hereby calls applications for interns (6 positions), for a three-month internship position in Uganda (for Uganda, citizens or refugees in Uganda).

The UDSM-RCFD is a multidisciplinary entity with members from Geography, Law,Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Development Studies, Business School, and Food sciences. Members conduct research in the following areas with a focus on East Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania and Rwanda) displaced by conflicts, climate change or project and marginalized population such as indigenous and those about to be displaced, relocated and resettled with unfair little or no compensation.

Members under the UDSM-RCFD are interested in research on the above topics as they are connected to livelihood, socio-ecological, legal, protection; gender equality, inclusive policy and agency of the displaced.
