Profile: Mr. Joram Ntiyakunze is an accomplished professional Quantity Surveyor who has work experience both in academic and practical field. His academic works and collaborative research undertakings are based on diverse range of construction related issues. He has produced theses tilted “Assessment of the Use and Reliability of Bills of Quantities as a source of information in Construction Projects” and another one under the title of “Obligations and Liabilities in Employer Consultant Relations in Building Projects in Tanzania (Analysis of Defaults and Control Approaches). He has also worked in collaboration with different labs at Kyushu University in using digital fabrications in the built-environment and circular economy programs. Currently, he is working in collaboration with Aoki Architects under the supervision of Professor Tomo Inoue and the owner of Aoki Architects Professor Shigeru Aoki in assessing and reducing the amount of embodied Carbon emissions in Renovation of Public housings in Japan using Point Cloud data and Deep learning techniques. Prior to joining University of Dar es Salaam, Mr. Joram worked at AQE Associates Ltd as a Quantity Surveyor and he was responsible to prepare cost estimates and oversee
