Mr. Cosmas Kaitani Nziku is an Assistant Lecturer, Department of Statistics at the University of Dar-es-Salaam. Before his employment as an Assistant Lecturer, he has worked at the National Bureau of Statistics, Tanzania as a Research Assistant, CRDB Bank Plc as a Bank Officer, and President’s Office Ethics Secretariate, Tanzania as a Statistician and Monitoring Evaluation Officer.

Currently, Mr. Nziku is on his Ph.D. program in Statistics at Eski┼čehir Osmangazi University, Turkey under the sponsorship of the Turkish Government Scholarship. He obtained a Master's Degree (M.Sc) in Statistics at the University of Mysore, India under the sponsorship of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarship between the years 2015-2017. He was awarded the best M.Sc student of the Department of Statistics for the 2015-2017 academic year by the International Center for the University of Mysore, a Gold Medal by the M L VARDHAMANAIAH MAHARAJA’S COLLEGE CENTENARY, a cash prize from the SMT PADMA BAI KATEY ENDOWMENT CASH PRIZE G3/289/82-83, PROF PANCHAPAKESAN cash prize GL3/110/2010-11 and Late PROF. B. G. RAGHAVENDRA MEMORIAL cash prize GL3/114/2010-11, University of Mysore. Mr. Nziku obtained his Bachelor of Art (B.A) in Statistics from the University of Dar es Salaam.

Mr. Nziku's research interests include the Design of Experiment and Sampling Theory, Inference and Distribution Theory, Statistical Computing and Computational Statistics, Financial Statistics, and Biostatistics
