RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
2010: Long Term Observer: Recruited by Tanzania Election Monitoring Committee (TEMCO) to observe Tanzania 2010 General Election at Muheza Constituency in Tanga Region. Fifty (50) days exercise required among other things, observing the electoral processes and monitoring of the implementation of the election Expenses Act No. 6 of 2010, preparing bi-weekly reports and lastly, writing of two major reports and submitting the same to TEMCO.
2007: Research Assistant: Participated in the study titled Eliminating Child Labour in an era of HIV/AIDS. The study was conducted in Isimani and Kalenga Divisions in Iringa Region.
2006: Research Assistant: Participated in the study organised by TAMISEMI (LARG) - DODOMA to investigate how different Local Government Organs provide services to the people, aiming at suggesting measures for improvement in areas that need changes.
2006: Principal Researcher: As part of my MA degree, I conducted a community-based study in Mahenge- Ulanga with the focus of examining various forms of displacement and dispossession by Medium Scale Mining Companies against Artisanal and Small Scale Miners.
2005: Principal Researcher: As part of my BA degree, I conducted a study on the efforts by Temeke District’s NGOs in poverty alleviation with an intention of exploring whether these NGOs are accountable for the poor and disadvantaged people at grassroots.
