Research:

Marine fisheries, aquaculture, seaweed farming and marine ecology.

Projects:

  1. The ongoing PhD project focused on  investigating fish assemblages, trophic structure, size distribution, abundance, diversity and their length weight relationship in seaweed farms (Eucheuma denticulatum), adjacent sand, seagrass and coral reef sites off Pongwe, Zanzibar. Furthermore, the growth performance of seaweed in floating farms with tubular net and off-bottom peg and lines farms was also assessed
