Malesa is a Marine Scientist, Co-Founder of Aqua-Farms Organization (AFO) and Assistant Lecturer at School of Aquatic sciences and Fisheries Technology (SoAF), University of Dar es Salaam. He graduated a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Science and Fisheries from the University of Dar es Salaam in 2017. In 2018 he was awarded a Master Scholarship with the government of Sweden under the Sida (Swedish International Development Agency) funded- Bilateral Marine Science Program (BMSP) to study at the Institute of Marine Sciences (UDSM). His publications include 2 journal articles in the area of mariculture, seagrass and fish larvae. His ambitions are to give back knowledge, skills and experiences to community in solving problems and improving the society livelihood. On personal level he is a very hard-working person, reliable, and can cooperate well with other people in a team. His research interest areas are; in the field of ocean productivity and plankton ecology, mariculture, ocean mapping and characterization of different-sensitive life stages of aquatic organism in response to changing climate and other different types of environmental stresses.
