Amina N. Kamando is a lecturer, currently working at the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Education, Department of Educational Foundations, Management and Lifelong Learning. She teaches Principles of Education, Sociology of Education and History of Education. She has participated in various research projects. Amina is passionate in researching and working with local/rural communities through community-based research in challenging complex issues related to poverty and lack of education among the rural-poor communities; and/or the link between education and poverty alleviation and the impact on social change. She is also interested in research on partnership working in education provision; community engagement; and gender equality and education provision
