7.  Projects

2019-2020: Convener of a task force to develop a Master degree programme in Adult Education and Community Development (MEd-AECD) of the University of Dar es Salaam.

2016-2019: member, team to develop a new bachelor degree programme for Primary Education to be offered by the School of Education, University of Dar es Salaam.

 

January-March, 2013: Prepared (with Professor Mi-Lee Ahn of Hanyang University) a training curriculum and participated in training for Capacity Building of a cluster of Ethiopian educators in Seoul, South Korea between 31st January ~ 1st March, 2013. Project sponsored by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

 

November, 2011: Conducted (with Professor Mi-Lee Ahn of Hanyang University) an Evaluation of Performance of Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) based in Seoul, South Korea: Annual Report, November, 2011.

 

June-July, 2012 (with Professor Mi-Lee Ahn): Training a cluster of African and Asian educators on ICT and action research. Project co-sponsored by UNESCO & KOICA for African and Asian educators in Seoul, Korea.

9-12 September, 2019: Presented a paper: The Dilemmas of Teaching and assessing soft skills and their implications for quality of university graduates in Tanzania at an international conference Innovations for Quality Education and Lifelong Learning (PCF9) in Edinburgh, Scotland. Conference organised by the Commonwealth of learning (COL).

4-10th February, 2019: Attended the 5th CERM- ESA School on Research Methodologies at Moi University, Kenya.

 

5th Nov-2nd December, 2018: Attended an International Workshop on Capacity Building for Lecturers and Supervisors (CABLES) (organized by DAAD Funded Centres of African Excellence) in Zanzibar.

27th -30th November, 2016:  Attended  the  8th  Pan-Commonwealth  Forum  on  Open  Learning  (PCF8) in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia. Forum organized by the Commonwealth of Learning in partnership with Open University Malaysia

7th-10th September, 2016: Attended the second phase of Staff Development Workshop on Capacity Building in Research Supervision and Support. Workshop organized by CERM-ESA MOI University, Kenya, in cooperation with the University of Oldenburg (Germany), the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (South Africa), the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) & the Uganda Management Institute (Uganda) and funded by DAAD-Germany.
