Final-year students from the Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism programmes, accompanied by their lecturers, are currently in Nairobi, Kenya, for a five-day academic study tour.

The African Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Operations in Resource Management and Food Supply (CSO) was awarded the Overall Winner in the Category of Collaborative Research with Significant Funding during the climax of the 11th University of Dar es Salaam Research and Innovation Week (RIW 2026), held earlier this week.

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) continues to advance its role as a catalyst for innovation, research excellence and workforce development through strengthened partnerships with industry and development stakeholders. During the Industry Advisory Committee meeting, participants highlighted key achievements under the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project, including enhanced graduate employability, expanded research collaborations and increased opportunities for industrial exposure and postgraduate training.
