UNIVERSITY OF DAR ES SALAAM
INTERNATIONALIZATION (INTERNATIONALIZATION)

Students' Experiences - Kenya

Janet Jebichii Sego - First Year Master of Laws(LL.M) in EAC and Regional Integration

I had to join the University of Dar es Salaam because my programme was being offered at UDSM only and I wanted to advance my studies at UDSOL which is the pioneer Law School in East Africa.

Later on during the registration and the process of obtaining a study permit, the support I got from the Directorate of Internationalization, Convocation and Advancement as an international student was immense and welcoming.

Felix Otieno Odhiambo - Third Year Ph.D. in Laws

My Journey at UDSM started when I won a scholarship, DAAD (TGCL), which was being administered by UDSM in conjunction with the University of Bayreuth.

Upon Joining the Intellectual community I enjoyed the University's rich academic culture which I have greatly benefited from

Moses Mutharime Mwito - Third Year Ph.D. in Economics

The Department of Economics at UDSM is renown across Africa for its efficient teaching staff and quality content delivery. This is largely what motivated me to join UDSM.

My unforgettable moment was in February 2020, when the International Students office organized a trip to Zanzibar. It was a great experience. The planning and everything else was perfect and I enjoyed it so much.

Sarah Ndanu Mwangangi Ngesu - Fourth Year Student Ph.D. Kiswahili

I chose to join the University of Dar es Salaam mainly because I wanted to have a different experience and also learn Kiswahili where it is spoken so well.

During my stay in Tanzania, My interaction with my course work lecturers was so good. They were so understanding and committed to their work. Also, the lecturers in my institute are so friendly. In addition, the Director of TATAKI is so welcoming and always cares about the welfare of the students. I was excited when our Department organized several educational trips like in Bagamoyo and Zanzibar.
