Swaum Mustapher Manengelo is 35 years old, she holds Master degree of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from St. Augustine University of Tanzania, Mwanza (2012). 

She is a Senior Journalist. She works as an Editor and Supervisor for Mlimani Media (University media) since 2014.

She has 10 years’ experience in journalism and expertise in Print and Broadcasting. She is also Script writer, Audio editor, researcher and part- time lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC).

She trains and coaches’ young journalists under Youth Reporters -Mlimani Radio Project on Climate Change issues, she is also a gender trainer.

 

She participated in many project writings like Women and Election by Tanzania Women’s Fund paper (2019), Covid-19 reporting (2020) and Innovations in Gender Equality (IGE) to Promote food security by Land O’Lakes International Development (2017). And she has been participating as an assistant researcher for three years in Year-Book on Media Quality in Tanzania (2018-2020).

 

She is certified winner with Public Service in 2019 at the University of Dar es Salaam Research Week, Dar es Salaam.

 

She is alumni for Women in News program 2016/2017, Youth Volunteers Program under African Union (AU) in 2015, Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) in 2014 and Investigative Journalism Fellow in 2012 by Tanzania Media Foundation (TMF).
