Central Science Workshop

The Central Science Workshop (CSW) is a central multifunctional technical unit established in 1981 through a project run jointly by the Catholic University of Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).  The main objective was to give adequate support to the Faculty of Science (now CoNAS) in performing its education and research programs.

The workshop has two mechanical sub-sections namely Fine Mechanics and General Mechanics. Besides the workshop hosts other two subsections which are Electronics and Glass Blowing subsections.  All four subsections are geared towards repairing and manufacturing scientific and industrial equipment.
