1. Master of Education in Curriculum Studies (M.EE. (CS)) Degree Programme
Objective of the Programme: This programme aims at equipping candidates with theoretical, professional, pedagogical, technological, and practical competences in curricula studies for effective provision of inclusive and sustainable quality education. The programme also intends to produce competent and innovative candidates in designing and developing sustainable curricula that integrate global learning needs into the national curriculum, researching and implementing curriculum-based programmes.
Mode of Delivery: Face to face and Online modes.
Duration: Eighteen (18) months including Two (2) semesters for coursework and one (1) semester for dissertation.

2. Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ME-ELPS)
Objective of the Programme: The objective of the programme is to develop and enhance dynamic, high performing leaders and policy analysts for the renewal and improvement of education systems. The programme will thus fill the existing deficit in strategic leadership at various levels in the education sector in Tanzania.
Programme structure
The ME-ELPS is a taught programme comprising of course-work and dissertation and the duration shall be eighteen months (1 year and six months) for full time students. Coursework will run over a period of two semesters of 15 teaching weeks, with final examination at the end of each semester. The last semester shall be devoted to research and writing of the dissertation. During the second semester of the first year, students will be required to develop research proposals detailing the theoretical background and methodology, as a preparation for research and dissertation work

A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission into a Degree Programme if he/she has any of the following qualifications:

Tuition Fee for this programme is TZS 4,000,000/= for Tanzanian applicants and US $ 3,000 for Non- Tanzanian applicants.

3. Postgraduate Diploma
The Faculty of Education offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) delivered during the evening hours from 4.00 pm and during weekend and public holidays. The PGDE Evening programme is aimed at individuals intending to work or are already working within the education sector, and who wish to gain a teaching profession.
The programme leads to certification in the teaching profession equivalent to B. Sc. Ed, B. A. Ed. or B.Ed. degrees. The PGDE (Evening) programme in particular is offered flexibly to individuals who wish to develop a career in teaching but are unable to attend a regular similar fulltime programme due to time constraint or work demands. This programme is, therefore, unique in that it makes it possible to combine work and studies.
In line with the TCU and UDSM guidelines for admission into postgraduate diploma programmes, the entry qualifications for the PGDE is Advanced Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree Qualifications in subjects other than education.
