Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) has emerged the second winner among other institutions in the compliance of the e-Government act, standards and guidelines.

e-Government Authority "e-GA” is a public institution established by e-Government Act No.10 of 2019 with mandate to coordinate, oversee, and promote e-Government initiatives and enforce e-Government related policies, laws, regulations, standards and guidelines to Public Institutions.

DUCE’s achievement was declared during the 4th e-Government annual meeting held in Arusha on 8th February 2024, officiated by the Deputy Minister of State in the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Mr. Ridhiwani Kikwete.

The annual meeting aimed at building capacity to public institution officials and other stakeholders in maintaining compliance to policies, laws, regulations, standards and guidelines, improving coordination and harmonization of e-Government initiatives.

The participants of the meeting were heads of institution, board members, ICT heads of department, communication officers, planning officers, auditors, accountants and ITC consumers. DUCE ICT Manager, Ms. Margareth Mbwana attended the event, representing the College.

Speaking during the opening session, the Minister of State in the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Mr. George Simbachawene requested participants to discuss challenges facing ICT operational systems in the provision of quality and effective e-Services to the Public.
